
Southern California Winter Music Festival
INTRODUCTION
The 2022 Southern California Winter Music Festival is the second of three non-competitive festivals offered by the SDNC. The SDNC is proud to offer young musicians valuable experiences in a supportive atmosphere. All proceeds support the SDNC programs.

RULES AND GUIDELINES

The SoCal Winter Music Festival is open to all teachers and contributing members of the San Diego North Chapter.

The divisions are as follows:
Solo Division: 1-2 pieces from the contrasting periods: Level: Elementary, Intermediate, Advanced-Applicants will be judged by their own music, not a competition between performers. -
The time limit is 5 minutes.

Soloists are highly encouraged to perform from memory. It is not required.

Ensembles are permitted to perform with music

An evaluator will write comments and rate each student as Superior, Excellent or Good (based on a 100 point scoring method)

All participants will be given a medal and a certificate for their performance with a rating.
ENTRY FEES
Entry fees will be paid via check. See the application form below.
Students must be entered (and have a fee paid) for EACH Division (solo/ensemble)

Entries as Soloist: $25/Elementary; $40/Intermediate and Advanced
